About
My philosophy
I started working in the wellness field in 1998, so it will be 10 years in the fall of 2008. I worked for Weight Watchers starting Sag Harbor’s first group and was the leader/facilitator for 5 years. In 1999 I became certified to teach group fitness classes and started working at the American Fitness Factory which later became the Sag Harbor Gym. In 2001 I furthered my education and became a Personal Trainer still working at the Gym as well as private clients. I have also been teaching through the Adult Education and Summerfest programs in Sag Harbor and East Hampton. In 2006 I became a Certified Nutritional Consultant and decided to follow my heart and open my own studio. In 2007 I joyfully started working part-time with a non-profit.
I started Woman to Woman Wellness because I believe in what I call the “working it out” method. When we engage in physical activity there are chemical reactions in the body that allow us to enter another level of awareness and as things that are going on in their lives now or in the past come up we "work it out". Eventually, we are confronted with our past and whether we want to or not we must deal with the pains of our youth, unfortunately no one is exempt. Therefore, I wanted to create a safe environment that my clients could feel free to use this time to not only get a great physical work out but actually hear themselves which is key in our busy lifestyles. I provide my clients with encouragement and inspiration for them to follow their hearts and remember to be kind to themselves on their unique wellness journey.

Personal
I am blessed to tell you my husband and I just celebrated our 20th anniversary this past August. We have 3 wonderful children and 2 grandchildren. I love to walk with our morkie, Sammy, and hike either in the Adirondacks or one of the National Parks. Volunteering at "The Retreat" a shelter for victims of domestic violence is also near to my heart and you’ll find me in my garden most days just breathing in the beauty of God’s creation.
